hey all! this is mike sending out an update from a nice argentine cafe in the middle of buenos aires' palermo viejo neighborhood. we're still having limited internet access problems... but today is a big argentine holiday, so it took us several phone calls, a misinterpretation (that turned into a 2 plus hour lunch/detour) and a number of closed cafes before we hit the jackpot.

we're loving it down here, seeing all the sites, consuming mass quantities of ojo de bife and to lesser extent shopping, but there's plenty of that also.

we visited a friend of leti's travel agency and it looks like we'll have a full south american itinerary in the next couple of days to post... there is a bit of a language barrier, so we might be in store for a huge five star booking when we walk in... but we can fix that.
