6 Months on the Road!
On the 25th of October we passed our 6 month travel anniversary and thought we’d go back and publish a few stats on our journey thus far. Here’s a quick, completely statistical (and somewhat guessed at) breakdown of where we’ve been and what we’ve done:
Countries visited: 9
Borders crossed: 11
Cities slept in: 61
Hours on buses: 250
Hours on a boat or train or bike: 43
Hours on extended cab rides or 4 wheel drive vehicles: 37
Hours in flight: 59
Distance behind the wheel: 8720km (5406 miles)
Number of airports slept in: 2
Total number of books read: 24
After all of that, we are still alive and moving on for more! We're just finishing up a nice stay in Phuket, Thailand and early tomorrow morning we head to another Thai island called Ko Samui. Also, we just updated our Flickr site with more photos from Thailand. Enjoy!

Those are some pretty impressive stats. However, I'd like to know how many different brands of beer were consumed.

that's a good one. it seemed like every small town in south america had there own brew, then kiwis and aussies are no slackers... and asia has its fair share. i am going to go out on a limb and say 37, yes 37 different brands of beer.

Sorry about the bad news and any misleading I did. I just knew the demand was high, but I guess not high enough if they require you to sign away a year of your life. Oh well, phuket.

wow! it sounds like your travels are going well. i wish i got to visit thailand with yall! that is one place that i have always wanted to go. where are yall planing to go next? when do yall think you might come back to the states?
